*ABOUT THE WORKSHOP*
In this beginner-focused 4 week course, you will learn the fundamentals of making a lap (or “couch” quilt) from the start, including:
- The tools and materials needed to start quilting
- How to measure and cut the components of your quilt
- Piecing
- Borders
- Straight-line quilting
- Binding
What we’ll supply you:
- Materials for the top of the quilt
- Batting
- Binding
- Pen or pencil and a notebook
What we have to lend:
- Only 2-3 sewing machines are available to use. Please let us know if you are able to bring your own machine and a manual.
- Iron and Ironing board
- Cutting table, scissors
- What you’ll need to purchase
- Your own backing (we’ll discuss this in the first class)
