Barkerville Gold Mines Community Meeting

Barkerville Gold Mines is proposing to develop the Cariboo Gold Project in the historic Cariboo Mining District. The project is expected to operate for 11 years and create 320 jobs annually.
Key project components are:
- a 4,000 tonne/day underground mine in the District of Wells
- An expanded mill and above-ground filtered tailing storage facility at the QR Mill Site
- A new highway bypass near Wells and use of Highway 26 and 500 Nyland Lake Road between the mine and QR Mill Site.
- A new transmission line from the Barlow substation to the mine site generally following Highway 26.
the project is being reviewed under the BC Environmental Assessment Act and we are preparing information required for the review.
