Save more on your electricity bill with free energy saving upgrades to your home

If you live in a single family detached or row house, you can receive an in-person home assessment and installation of free, energy-saving products for a brighter, cozier, more efficient home. Product installation and services from our trusted program partner, It’s On Electric, may include:

• LED bulbs and nightlights
• ENERGY STAR® refrigerator
• High-efficiency showerheads and faucet aerators
• Door weatherstripping
• Insulation (wall, attic and crawlspace)
• Carbon monoxide detectors

After installation, It’s On Electric’s will go over all the products installed in your home and will provide customized energy saving advice to fit you, your family and your lifestyle.

What is required to qualify

• Resident of the District of Wells
• Must have a BC Hydro residential account
• Individual characteristics of your home will determine which specific products you are eligible for. This will be determined following your free in-person home assessment.

How to register

To register, simply download and complete an application [PDF, 207 KB] form and mail or email it to the addresses below. If you rent your home, have your landlord complete the landlord consent form [PDF, 329 KB] and include it with the rest of your application.

Once we’ve reviewed your application, It’s On Electric will contact you to arrange an appointment to visit your home.
