Painting on Assemblage with Stefanie Denz

Using found materials (wood, metal, plastic, and other bits and bobs) workshop participants will work together to make a semi 3D surface for a unique painting experience. Workshop facilitator Stefanie Denz will support each student at their level, and guide them to new artistic possibilities on their creative path!
Students will receive in-session support to develop their ideas as they bring them to a two-dimensional surface. Process and techniques are also discussed, individually and in group critiques.
Participants are encouraged to bring their desired painting materials and brushes. IMA will have a selection of paints and brushes of varying integrity on hand for communal use, as well as found materials, drills, and hardware for assembling.
