Bowron Lake Fishing Derby

Bowron Lake Fishing Derby! 2026!
~~This is an off grid, CASH ONLY event. Plan accordingly~~
Where: Bear River Mercantile, Bowron Lake B.C.
All fishing must take place within the Bowron Lake, and Bowron River (near the bridge). No fish from outside lakes will be judged.

When: June 20th, registration starts at 6am at Bear River Mercantile. Once you have registered, fishing will commence until 5pm. Last weigh ins will take place from 5pm-5:30pm. Prizes to follow.

If you wish to register in advance, you can do so in person June 19th, at Bear River Mercantile.
Minors under 18 will require a parent signature.
All provincial fishing regulations must be adhered to.
All fish must be caught with a fishing rod, no spear fishing, netting etc.

$5 per category!
Prizes will be awarded for biggest and smallest fish, by weight, for youth and adult in all 3 categories.

Burgers, hot dogs and assorted snacks will be available for purchase after 11am.
