DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for ArtsWells pre-festival Songwriting Workshop\, we are thrilled to announce our 2019 instructors are Linda McRae and Dan Bern! Join these two critically acclaimed songwriters for a four-day intensive workshop. Participants will spend time defining and examining those “fundamental ingredients’ of a song through performance\, discussion and hands-on writing. Participants will also have the opportunity to perform their newly created songs as part of the ArtsWells Festival\, which begins on the final day of the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:Introducing 3 new silkscreen prints: Jack O’ Clubs Hotel\, Wildfire III and Wildfire IV. Then continue on to the Sunset Theatre to enjoy Patrick Courtin playing piano to accompany Charlie Chaplin’s film\, “The Gold Rush”. \nThe Jack O’ Clubs print is based on a black & white photo courtesy of Marie Nagel; first set of film positives made by the late Gary Seale at Spartan Printing in Quesnel. Background silhouette of the building is transparent silver – because the Jack is no longer there. \nThe Wildfire prints are variant editions in horizontal and vertical formats. The sky blends are all different\, with a fading gold texture overlay; two different boreal forest skylines.
