DESCRIPTION:A comprehensive\, practical introduction to the principles of providing a quality service experience. This course is ideal for people working in a front-line\, customer-facing role\, especially in the tourism and hospitality sector. \nThe course will cover: \n\nBasic customer service\, communication and teamwork skills – some of the key 21st century skills\nRelationships between service quality\, customer experience\, and business objectives\nThe importance of front-line employees in service sector businesses\nExpectations from the point of view of customers\, employers\, and employees\nCommunication etiquette and best practices\nService recovery techniques\nMetrics used to assess customer experience and service quality\n\nThe course is a one-day interactive classroom session from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm in Barkerville Historic Town & Park. Coffee and tea provided. Bring your own lunch. \nRegular fee: $90 + GST. Join Mrs. McGinley and the cast as they host an exciting musical variety show with song\, dance\, sing-alongs\, and comedy. Entertaining for the whole family from ages 3 to 103.\n\n\n \n\n\n4:00pm: Cariboo Gold Quartz Radio Hour\n\n\nComes to you “live” from our broadcast studio. A new 1930s-50s musical variety show featuring songs and dances from the era\, along with local news of the day\, a serial\, the weather\, commercials\, and the social calendar. \n\n\n \n\n\n7:00pm: Mrs. McGinley’s Gold Rush Variety Show\n\n\nExciting\, humorous and edifying. A variety show set in the 1860s based on the traveling theatrical troupes that traveled the Cariboo road to Barkerville. Presenting a wide selection of material\, from country to operetta\, from folk songs to poetry. During the Gala event\, the show is proceeding with a live fundraising auction. DESCRIPTION:Every June for many years\, the Prince George Celtic Club has traveled to Barkerville to celebrate Bloomsday\, a commemoration and celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce. Club members share readings from Irish literature\, songs and tunes from Ireland\, and even a wee dance or two. All are welcome to join the celebrations!
