DESCRIPTION:Bowron Lake Fishing Derby! 2026!\n~~This is an off grid\, CASH ONLY event. Plan accordingly~~\nWhere: Bear River Mercantile\, Bowron Lake B.C.\nAll fishing must take place within the Bowron Lake\, and Bowron River (near the bridge). No fish from outside lakes will be judged. \nWhen: June 20th\, registration starts at 6am at Bear River Mercantile. Once you have registered\, fishing will commence until 5pm. Last weigh ins will take place from 5pm-5:30pm. Prizes to follow. \nIf you wish to register in advance\, you can do so in person June 19th\, at Bear River Mercantile.\nMinors under 18 will require a parent signature.\nAll provincial fishing regulations must be adhered to.\nAll fish must be caught with a fishing rod\, no spear fishing\, netting etc. \nCategories:\n~Kokanee\n~Trout and char\n~Course fish \n$5 per category!\nPrizes will be awarded for biggest and smallest fish\, by weight\, for youth and adult in all 3 categories. \nBurgers\, hot dogs and assorted snacks will be available for purchase after 11am.
